Season 4 Ratings

Good news fellow dedicated fans!

News has come in, and boy it is looking good for our beloved shows!  Ranked by viewings, ad impressions, and overall program growth.  Season four of Breaking Bad has broken new grounds all together!  Since the show started off as almost an 'underground' show, with people completely under estimating the program, I am so excited for the show now getting the attention it deserves.

Coming in after the season finale of season four, Breaking Bad now ranks as the most engaging show on television.  This is a huge step for the show, and assuring its rightful spot as one of the top shows in history.  Following the usual exponential popularity from season to season, this latest season has proved to be Breaking Bad's highest rated season.  This year's episodes have increased ratings by 24% in adults 18-49, marking the highest in TV drama history!  Across all three airings the night of the finale, raked in over 2.9 million viewers.

Provided by Breaking Bad's Official Blog, here are the rating highlights!

  • All three airings delivered 2.9 million viewers and 1.8 million adults 18-49
  • Season 4 averaged 1.9 million viewers, a 23% increase vs. Season 3
  • Breaking Bad Season 4 also averaged over 1 million adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54, +24%/+21% vs. Season 3
  • Breaking Bad Season 4 garnered its strongest increases among younger viewers, growing its Adult 18-34 audience +42% over last season.
So be happy for this phenomenal show, it has secured it's spot as TV's best drama in cable history.  Next is taking over Sopranos in the premium channels categories, which I believe is already happening.  The show seems to follow even less guide lines than such shows, so lets hope!

Next post: Season 5 predictions!  Let me know if you have any!
